This innovative firm of Solicitors based in the City seeks a Practice Manager to oversee the running of their practice covering Finance, HR, Administration and facilities. As part of the management team, you will play a leading role in the future development of the firm, helping to develop smoother operating processes and generally ensuring the efficiency of the of the firm.
You will be fully involved in the general running of the practice, with marketing, LEXEL and HR matters and you should also be familiar with the financial side of the business.supporting the Partners duties will Include:
Managing all support staff functions including finance, support staff and IT.
Finance - Managing a small team, you will review and evaluate the Firm’s accounting systems, processes and controls and recommend improvements
- Oversee the production of Practice accounts, annual budget, cash flow, performance statistics and credit control.
IT - Manage relationship with outsourced IT provider and maintenance company
HR responsibilities, in addition to the day-to-day employee relations duties, you will be tasked with the administration of and obtaining competitive benefits and insurance, conduct on-boarding for all professional and support staff. Manage staff recruitment process, appraisals, background checks and disciplinary issues.
Facilities functions will include lease administration, the oversight of facilities, maintenance and repairs, liaise with and pass on building management and landlord communications, implement safety procedures, oversee and coordinate all vendors for renegotiation manage office improvements.
You will need to have proven leadership / management skills gained in a legal or similar professional organisation with a strong finance bias, however, candidates from non-legal backgrounds could also be considered.
