Description
This specialist manufacturing company based in Romford, Essex seeks a qualified Financial Controller to take responsibility for all financial aspects of the business and provide input to the Managing Director on strategic developments for the Company.
Key responsibilities
- Monthly management accounts and reporting pack including variance analysis; cash flow etc
- Annual budgeting, forecasting and strategic planning
- Identify and develop improved reporting tools and financial controls
- Develop and implement processes for resource planning; cost & stock control; job costings and measuring production efficiencies
- Quarterly VAT return
- Production of ad hoc reports and financial modelling
- Supporting the business by providing detailed analysis to assist strategic decision making
- Providing information for and liaising with external auditors
- Management of staff and overseeing sales ledger, purchase ledger and payroll functions
- Take ownership of one off projects as required
Profile
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent
- Experience within the engineering or manufacturing sector desirable
- Experience of working in a senior finance position (5 years PQE)
- Proven experience of operating in a growing and changing business
- High level of commercial acumen
- Experience of developing systems and process controls
- Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills
- Experience of managing staff
- Experience in Sage 200
