Description
This established firm of Solicitors seeks an experienced Finance Manager with a background with a previous firm of solicitors. Reporting to the senior Partners, you will manage the finance function on a day to day basis, duties will include:
- Managing and motivating a small team
- reviewing current procedures and looking for improvements
- Month-end reporting - unbilledWIP/Billings/Aged Debtors/Payments/Receipts
- Preparing monthly management reports
- Preparing VAT reports
- Processing VAT payments
- Inputting of all financial transactions for both office and client a/c in accordance with SAR rules
- Producing WIP reports
- Liaising with Partners/fee earners/office administrator regarding placing funds on special interest bearing accounts
- Accounting for interest on deposit accounts and carrying out account closures
- Liaising with the bank on account queries - deposits, cheque queries and transfers
- Assisting the office administrator
- Updating the partners daily of cash flow position
- Knowledge of how to deal with residual balances
- Knowledge of SARs
- Liaising with external Accountants for year end audit
