The Thailand Non-Immigrant ED Visa is intended for foreign nationals traveling to Thailand for approved educational and study-related purposes. The Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes study, work-study or observation programs, projects, seminars, conferences, training courses, and study as a foreign Buddhist monk among purposes covered by the Non-Immigrant ED category. Applicants generally need a passport with sufficient validity, a completed visa application, photographs, and documents supporting their educational purpose. Depending on the program, this may include an admission or invitation letter from a recognized Thai educational institution or organization. The exact requirements can vary according to the course, institution, nationality, and place of application. Applicants should check the responsible Thai embassy or consulate for current documentation requirements before applying.
