Ethiopia Visa Types vary according to the purpose of travel and the traveller's circumstances. Common purposes can include tourism, business, work, transit and other specialised visits. The correct visa depends on what the traveller intends to do in Ethiopia, as a tourist visa should not be used for activities that require a work or other specialised authorisation. Applicants should also consider their nationality, passport type and intended length of stay when selecting a visa. Ethiopia's Immigration and Citizenship Service provides official visa services and information through its government portal. Travellers should check the current category available to them rather than relying on old visa lists, as immigration procedures and requirements can change.
