An Established ACA Financial Controller looking for a challenging role to develop her career within industry. Well versed in management and statutory accounts including installing new systems, processes and controls to improve the functionality of the account department.

Extensive experience in recruiting, managing and motivating a finance team, she is a strong team leader and remains a hands on Accountant.

• Implemented a group finance manual to ensure controls were adhered to across the group.
• Supervision and line management to 11 staff members which includes 6 account payable, 3 payroll, 1 credit control and an assistant.
• Produced a 12 week accurate cash flow forecast, for weekly board review.
• Manage the month end close and ensure preparation of the management accounts for the main trading company and 3 smaller companies.
• Produce the monthly consolidation, which included 2 acquired trading subsidiaries, for review by the board.
• Review of all balance sheet reconciliations, aged debtors/creditors reports to ensure best practise is being followed.
• Preparation of annual budgets, liaising with all internal divisions to provide support and accurate information.
• Preparation of statutory accounts for 4 trading entities, 2 dormant companies and consolidated accounts under UK GAAP.
• Liaising with the auditors for the group audit.
• Providing all required information for tax computations to be prepared and reviewed once completed. Payment of corporation tax monies on account.
• Preparation of quarterly VAT and ensuring VAT compliant across the group subsidiaries.
• Review of all CIS returns and PAYE submissions ensuring all payments are made.
• Central management of group banking arrangements, including cash management.
• Issuing of management charges to subsidiaries and advising of the accounting entries.
• Management of the group payroll function.
